In Kherson there were distributed 200 food parcels, hygiene products and household chemicals donated by the Favor Foundation.
The parcels include buckwheat, rice, sugar, condensed milk, canned meat and fish, a set of hand soap, laundry soap and washing gel.
The packages were distributed to the most needy parishioners of the Church of the Kasperiv Icon of the Mother of God and to residents of the Korabel neighbourhood, who are supported by the parish. We hope that this help will ease the daily hardships of Kherson residents and be useful in these difficult times.
Kherson and its suburbs are subjected to daily air and drone attacks that destroy not only the infrastructure but also the very lives of the citizens. There are no safe areas anymore. The cost of food and medicine has increased by 20-30% compared to safe regions, and it is almost impossible to find a job there. Public transport is in danger due to the constant activity of drones, so moving around the city is a big risk. Most residents use their own cars whenever possible, only to get the essentials.
Despite all the difficulties, people live, work and hope for the best, because hope is something that cannot be taken away.
