‘DOBRA PORSIIA’ by the Fund ‘Tabor’ in Sumy

The Fund ‘Tabor’ has purchased food to prepare hot, balanced meals for the needy and low-income residents of Sumy. Delicious home-cooked meals are prepared daily by parishioners of the Church of St Elijah the Prophet, who put not only their labour but also their sincere care for people into this work.

For many residents of Sumy, such a meal is more than just a plate of hot food. It is a moment when they can take a breather amidst constant anxiety, explosions and news of yet more destruction, when they know that someone is waiting for them, that they are remembered, and that something warm and home-cooked has been prepared for them.

In a city under daily shelling, even the simple chance to have a peaceful lunch becomes a small source of support that helps people carry on.
