100 people with disabilities from the Pokrovsk City Society of the Disabled in Donetsk Oblast received lamps with solar panels from the foundation.
We hope that these devices for alternative lighting during long power outages will improve their living conditions, safety and comfort. Especially, because people who have received these lamps have complex diagnoses: autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, cancer, and many of them have suffered strokes. There are persons who hardly leave their homes, are sedentary or even bedridden.
The absence of light makes it difficult for them to take their medicines, perform hygiene procedures, and prepare meals. Staying in the dark for long periods of time also increases stress.
The lamps we donated provide lighting for up to 6 hours a day, are charged by sunlight, and can be used as a power bank if necessary.
