In August, we did not forget about those in need in Oleksandriya, Kirovograd region. Together with our good friends, the clergy of the Oleksandriya Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, we greeted the needy with the holidays and the children from Sunday school with the beginning of the academic year. This long-term cooperation exemplifies how important to support each other in difficult times. Local residents who are barely surviving on their pensions, internally displaced persons and the homeless people receive hot meals every day at the local food outlet.
To prepare the meals, we bought canned fish, cereals, pasta, sugar, and fresh fruit – apples, pears, and plums. Thanks to joint support, our wards received not only food, but also a bit of joy and festive mood.
Every good deed is another ray of Tabor’s light sent to the Universe.
