As part of the ‘DOBRA PORTSIIA’ project, the Fund donated food to prepare hot meals for those in need.
The food outlet operates at the Church of St Elijah the Prophet in Sumy. Every day, people come here for whom a simple plate of hot food is not something to be taken for granted. Some have lost their jobs, some lack the means to afford the bare necessities, and others have found themselves in circumstances that are very difficult to cope with on their own.
Caring often begins with something simple – a hearty portion of a hot meal waiting for someone when they are going through a particularly difficult time. It’s about the chance to come in, sit down at the table and simply eat. Because when there are people nearby who care, getting through tough times is a little easier.
