Resettlers, who were received by the kolky community in Volyn, need help

Nothing can be more important than knowing that you have a family, because it is considered a factor of security and stability. This is particularly true now, when a war broke out in our country, when you don’t know what to expect tomorrow. We, Ukrainians, are one big family! No matter where life takes us, we are sure there will always be those who will support and give moments of joy, love and care.

The community of the Volyn town of Kolky has become a family for almost a hundred people, who were forced to leave the territories with ongoing hostilities. It was here that the parishioners of the Holy Cross Exaltation church of the UOC, with the help of the owners of the LLC Green Zone sanatorium, organized a room for internally displaced persons from the third day of the war. To date, 90 migrants from Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolayiv and Kherson regions are taken into care. Thanks to the assistance of empathic people, volunteers were able to equip rooms for those who had to leave their homes: they bought furniture and tables for the sanatorium where IDPs are living.

But the Kolky family is constantly growing, because almost every day more and more people in need of help arrive there. However, as volunteer activity is stepping up, the resources of the community are dwindling, unfortunately.

We are convinced that only by joint efforts can we do good things. Let’s not leave the people, who have found temporary shelter in the town of Kolky, Lutsk district, Volyn region, without our warmth and care!
