The St Nicholas community in Druzhkivka, Donetsk region, has received a modern Italian professional convection oven UNOX from the Favor Foundation. This new device will become an indispensable tool in providing meals for the needy, about whom the local parish cares.
The sisters, who work tirelessly in the refectory, will now be able to bake prosphoras, bread and pastries for lunches with no difficulties. The new oven is especially important, as the old one could no longer cope with the workload, and the demand for baked goods is growing. Every day, more than seventy people in need come to the church’s food point, and all of them receive not only lunch but also bread to take home.
Besides, the community plans to use the oven to cook delicious pastries for the little pupils of the Sunday school, giving them a piece of warmth and joy.
This help is an important step in supporting the good deeds of the community, and we sincerely believe that together we will do even more for people in need.
