The children had attended a masterclass where professional chefs taught them how to make delicious and unsurpassed Poltava galushky. Without any exaggeration, galushka is considered to be a symbol of our Ukrainian national cuisine. For children from the eastern regions of Ukraine it was the first familiarisation with the dish, which was written about by Kotlyarevsky and Gogol.
The little cooks learnt about the history of the dish, and the recipe of dough. Then they cooked galushky with cherries and chocolate filling. At the end of the master class everyone enjoyed their own steamed galushky.
